The answer to this question is not a straightforward one.  It really depends on many factors, so rather than answering yes or no, let us consider those variables so you can make the best decision for you and your future spouse. Cost The first thing to consider is how much you can afford. If your budget is minimal, you may not want to have a bartender at the wedding.  Not only will you have to pay that individual for his or her services, you are also going to have to afford the alcohol consumed.  There may be other, more cost effective ways, to offer alcoholic beverages to your guests, such as spiked punch bowls, or self-serve beer taps.

If there is one aspect of a wedding that is more likely to be remembered than anything else, it is the food.  People may not always recall a so-so meal, but they will often remember great food, and they will never forget a bad eating experience.  Because of this, a caterer is an important part of wedding planning.  Be sure that you are asking the right questions before you hire.

Before we get too far into the rules of etiquette regarding the head table on your wedding day, let us first mention the idea of a ‘sweetheart table’.  This was once a much more popular concept than it is today, but, nevertheless, it does have merit. What is the Sweetheart Table?  Essentially, this tiny table is the first private rendezvous of husband and wife.  It provides them a quiet place to enjoy each other’s company while they dine, without the formality of a head table.

This is a topic that comes up many times among brides- and grooms-to-be.  Many are concerned that the lighting in a space will hinder great wedding photographs.  However, the truth of the matter is that a great photographer can turn any space into the set for wonderful photos.  He or she will bring various flashes for cameras, will adjust shutter speeds to counteract a lack of light, may utilize diffusers, and will align the camera to capture the shot from the perfect angle.  These are skills that the artists learn through education and experience, which leaves you free to enjoy your event without concern for how the pictures will turn out.

While reading a fabulous archived blog post by Rhie at A Practical Wedding recently, we found ourselves very inspired…

When we went to the jewelry store together I seized up in the presence of an overly helpful employee. She wanted to show us everything in the case; I just needed a minute to process the fact that I was here, with this person—the person who loved me enough to follow me from Austin, Texas to Jackson, Mississippi—looking at rings. Rings! It was too much. I tried on a few, mumbled something about being partial to solitaires, and we left.

Later, perusing Etsy for cute little gemstone numbers, I started getting excited, enough to show my mum some of the rings I’d picked out.

In a recent blog post, we discussed a few of the tips that could improve your chances of finding success at bridal shows. As a bride-to-be, there are many factors that you must consider in order to put together the perfect wedding day.  Bridal shows are excellent events, as they will often remind you of matters that you might have forgotten or overlooked.  They can also provide discounts on the services that you already have in mind.  To continue this conversation, consider these additional tips for making the most of the bridal event.

Modern brides are not ashamed of their figures.  They are proud of who they are and how they look, but there is still the matter of tradition.  One must consider the audience when selecting a dress.  That being said, you can be a sexy bride without offending your guests. Two Piece Indian brides can be thanked for the emerging trend of wearing two-piece wedding gowns.  You can still preserve tradition by dressing in white and wearing a long veil, but an elegant cropped top could provide a peek at your midriff in a sexy, but inoffensive way.  The look is quite stunning and there is certainly inspiration to be found online.  Several dresses styled in this manner were seen on the runways recently.

There are so many blogs and articles out there that talk about wedding costs and budgeting for your wedding, but so many will mention price cutting methods that see you losing out on the little details that make a big difference.  You can still get the look that you love for your big day without dumping the details.  Consider some of the tricks that the pros use to get better deals on the items that they can’t live without.
