Take Great Wedding Photos in Lake Tahoe

Are you one of those people who seems to be doomed to crappy photos for the rest of your life?  While we are all self-critical when seeing pictures taken by others, we also want to feel good about the photos taken on our wedding days.  You are undoubtedly feeling the same.  So, we have a few tips to help you make the most of the big day and to get the wedding photos in Lake Tahoe that you so desire.

Take a Look in the Mirror Practice smiling, tilting your head in various angles, laughing, and other poses that may be necessary for wedding photos.  As you practice, you will undoubtedly discover the angles that are best for you, the expressions that make you look your best.  With this knowledge, you can get more from your wedding day photo shoot.

Laugh The happier you are, the more beautiful your pictures will be.  So, embrace the love that you feel for your spouse, tell him or her inside jokes that will make you both giggle.  Talk about the things that you will do on your honeymoon, and find any other reason that you can think of to wear great big smiles and open-mouthed laughs.

Look Elsewhere Don’t get too caught up with the camera.  Let the moment be natural.  Look at your spouse, look at your bridesmaids, look up into the sun-filled sky.  Many of the most beautiful photos are those that don’t involve a person looking at the camera.

Take Some Time to Be Alone with the Photographer Be sure that you have a level of trust with the photographer.  Allow that person to take some bridal shots without friends and family in tow.  When you aren’t comfortable with some of the poses, with the backdrop, or you feel that someone is being left out, don’t be afraid to take a break and speak with the photographer.  It is your day, and you should feel comfortable and happy with the process.  Otherwise the photos are likely to fall short of your expectations.
