Planning a Destination South Lake Tahoe Wedding?

We are very proud of our Lake Tahoe location, and we believe that our venue will make a beautiful backdrop for your big day, but if you are coming in from out of town, or out of state, then we would like to offer you a few helpful pieces of advice to make your planning easier.

Come Visit Us We can show you many beautiful pictures of past weddings, of the lake, and of our facilities, but the true beauty is really experienced best in person.  You may want to plan for a couple of trips to the area prior to the wedding, so you can get accustomed to the area – find hotels that will work for your guests, check out the nightlife before you being the real celebration, or just to speak with some of the local vendors.

Read a Lot of Reviews Before you hire any vendors for your wedding, be sure that you ask a lot of questions and read those online reviews.  It does make it a bit more difficult that you don’t have the recommendations of friends, family members, and coworkers when choosing the best services, but you can learn a lot online these days.

Consider Hiring a Professional Planning from afar is tough, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t have a spectacular destination wedding.  You can!  But, you might find it easier to have a professional planner familiar with the area, who can make recommendations, handle some of the haggling, and ensure that things come together properly.

Make it an Elongated Event Not everyone who travels to Lake Tahoe for your wedding will be able to stay for a week, but for those who are able to linger, it could be a lot of fun to have a few group activities planned in advance.  Besides, this provides you the opportunity of stretching the wedding bliss over several days, instead of limiting it to just one.

Bring Extra Bags We can’t guarantee that you will get what you want when it comes to wedding gifts, but we can guarantee that you will leave with more than you came with, so be sure that you have the empty bags that you will need to carry it all home.
